Netapp Snapshot via VSS, ISCSI LUNs SnapDrive and the NBU Appliance 7.5

I am having a similar issue where Netbackup (we run NBU 7.5.0.5) on 5220 Appliance.  

I have Windows 2003R2 x64 file servers that mount LUNS via SnapDrive off our v3240 Filers using ISCSI.  This wasn't a problem for us before when we were running 6.5.6 Netbackup becuse the VSS wasn't "smart enough" to pick the NetApp VSS writer.

Anyhow, now the damn NBU is taking snapshots and not deleting them upon completion of my backup jobs!

I've tried the registry fix listed in this TECH article http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH87754 but it doesn't work.

I'm very interested to see if anyone has found a good way to tell NBU not to use the netapp vss.
