one stream of synthetic backup is failing..

Guys,

I have a synthetic backup configured in my environment..problem is one of its stream is failing.

Now my question is,can i rerun that stream without rerunning the complete backup and still gets the 'synthetic effect ?'

Any other info about Synthetic Backup would also be appreciated :)
