Netbackup 7602 Upgrade & MSDP Conversion

I have a site running two similar NBU domains, one in Primary and one in DR - with AIR running between the two sites.

I upgraded the DR site Master server to 7.6, then applied 7602 update.  I then upgraded the media server to 7.6 and it started the MSDP conversion which completed successfully.  I then applied 7602 update.  Before running the upgrade I ran the pddeobjectcount -e command and it indicated that with regular disk I could expect a 13hr MSDP conversion.  The conversion actually took a little over 10hrs.  All appears well following the upgrade and conversion.

I am currently upgrading the Primary site.  I moved the master server to 7.6 and then applied the 7602 update.  I then upgraded the media server to 7.6 which completed OK and automatically started the MSDP conversion.  The pddeobjectcount -e for this system indicated an 11hr conversion with regular disk - it has been running for approx 22hrs at this stage and is 76% through Phase 3.  From experience I expect Phase 4 to take a little longer than Phase 3 - which I currently estimate at completing in 28hrs 20mins.  This will equate to a total upgrade time for the MSDP pool of approx 57hrs !!

The media servers are the same at both ends, the MSA disk subsystem is the same (P2000 G3 FC), used capacity of the disk pool is similar (a little fuller at Primary but only a few percent), the pool is 78TB total capacity at each site.

When monitoring the various components I see no real activity.  CPU is minimal on the media server, disk subsystem activity is minimal.  The windows task manager simply shows the STCONV tasks popping in and out of activity every few seconds, but only using 1% CPU (although it has 14GB of RAM against the task - server has 96GB).

I know that the estimation processs has proved to by 'unreliable' when performoing upgrades, but when I have run it on two nearly identical configurations I would have expected the resulting conversion time to be similar.

Is it simply a matter of sitting with this or is there anything I can do to investigate / speed up the process ?
