Evault not exiting backup mode

I just created several evault policies according to this document.

The backup jobs run without any issues and show 100% complete but evault is says that its still in backup mode and is throwing errors about how it has not been backed up in # of days.

Am i missing a step or do i not have the right agents installed?  I keep reading about an EV agent but i cant seem to find one for 7.5.0.6 so I have the standard  agent installed on the Evault servers and SQL servers.

NBU 7.5.0.6
