Two Master Servers

Dear All , 

 

    I had an old master server that was running and managing different clients with different applications Oracle , Sql  . Exchange & Windows 

I wanted to upgrade hardware and software so I bought a new Hardware more powerful and I installed the Master server on it 7.5.4 then I upgraded the clients and agents to 7.5 

now I had the two master servers running 

the thing is that to change the master servers for the client I did it through

Host Properties --> Clients --> then on each client I choose the client then properties which I change the master server to the new master server name 

 

the thing is that after months of the operation going on on the new master server with all the policies on the old one being deactiviated I wanted to decommision the old master server but when I did so some of the backups specially the oracle backups didn't work and failed frequently

 

are there any suggestions ? Did I do any thing wrong in the first place ?
